First Steps in International Projects

Organic Garden design competition

Organic Garden

Challenge 20/20 brings together schools  in the  United States with schools  in other countries. Together they identify local solutions to a global problem.
The global economy, technological advances, and increased mobility and networking have led to an increasingly interdependent world. Schools have the opportunity to educate students to become leaders in this new global environment. NAIS’s Challenge 20/20 program provides an opportunity for schools — public and private, elementary and secondary — to develop globally based, experiential curricula and to build educational partnerships with schools around the world. This is an Internet-based program, free of cost and requiring no travel. Challenge 20/20 students form authentic bonds with students from around the globe. They learn frst-hand about cross-cultural communication. Together the teams tackle a real problem and their interaction opens up new perspectives and networks. Partnerships can continue after the Challenge 20/20 project and linkages such as teacher and student exchanges may develop

School Uniform Exchange project in Kocaeli
The team of 6 students joined a new project! SUE project is a great way of collaboration in order to let students all over the world being proud of their school uniform, discusings advantages and disadvantages of having this or that style of uniform at school.
Russian students made lots of meetings and conferences with their Azerbaijanian and Turkish friends. No doubt it was a fabulous Youth Exchange, where students shared life ideas and made lots of useful contacts! We want to thank Huri Teacher and her students for that opportunity!

To Russia With Love
By Lynn
In Russia wonderful students appear
Their intelligence and grace shine throughout the year
Such style, such flair and yes they are wonderful in every way
Led by my daughter Olga who brings the sunshine each day
Olga lives to teach and makes Mom Lynn proud
Of her accomplishments I shout out loud
So my little English group know this is true
Lynn Rosen really loves you

MY NAME AROUND THE WORLD
(A YEAR OLDER....)
We keep on working with all the friends around the world in a very useful and interesting for all of us project "My name around the world" (click and find it!). Kids are so happy to share their names stories and find out new adjectives for them! So we play with names and work hard learning English, combining useful and pleasure time!

OUR FRIENDS ALL AROUND THE WORLD!

ART MILES AND MUSAIC PROJECTS

Our school kids have made not only paper mural but also a special canvas for the international project "Art Miles Project and MUSAIC Project "(Facilitator: Joann Tawfilis, USA) where they presented their peace ideas! Teachers, parents and kids were drawing together with great pleasure!

   INTERNATIONAL INTECULTURAL
MURAL EXCHANGE

Our little kids of the 2nd, 5th grade and students of the 8th grade took part in an internationl project "International Intercultural Mural Exchange" (Facilitator: Atsuko Shiwaku, Japan). They've used twenty Whatmans paper to make a huge mural. It was so hard to fix it to the school walls but their teachers did all their best to demonstrate that masterpiece to all the bypassers!

OUR HEARTS FOR OUR FRIENDS

We've sent our paper hearts to our American friends. Now we know that they are going to be sent to kids from Sierra-Leone! Of course, we're happy we can make our friends happy and smiling with us reading all of our wishes. Kids tried to prepare just bright red, blue and pink hearts. Lynn Rosen got all of the hearts and here you can see her lovely smiling face full of happiness))) Dear Lynn, believe that we're so glad to have a chance helping somebody in the world! Let's  make the world better together!

A child shall lead us that is what they say
